Bénodet, now a renowned seaside resort on the coast of Cornouaille, has always been a place renowned for its geographical interest as a mouth of the Odet. Its name came from its situation, meaning "head of the Odet" in Breton.
Discover beautiful beaches: Saint-Gilles, Trez and Letty. Very nice walks along the cornice decorated with old buildings rich in history, such as the Minaret and the two lighthouses of Benodet (the cock and the Pyramid), very old churches: St Thomas, and the Chapel of Perguet.

The Bigouden County offers a verdant rolling countryside. Land of fishermen, the four ports of the Bigouden County, Saint-Guénolé-Penmarc'h, Le Guilvinec, Lesconil and Loctudy come alive every day with a curious ritual. In the second exhibition entitled "From the sea to the plate", a rich and playful staging explains the different stages of the fish from the sea to your plate. You embark virtually on board the trawlers of Guilvinec, and discover the atmosphere of the quays and the sale at the auction as well as the effervescence of the workshops of fishmonger.
The visit continues in the interactive fishmonger, then in the kitchen of our Granny who prepares a recipe with her two grandchildren...
The Découvery Center now has a new cinema space for a better immersion in the fisherman's profession, re-enactments of spaces among seafaring workers, children's games and interactive devices.
